Folk Marquetry Tri-Fold Mirror Stand

Exceptional folk marquetry stand decorated with carte de visite family photographs and a beveled tri-fold mirror. The tri-fold mirror is heavily embellished with different colored woods inlaid in various pleasing patterns including a large star on its crest and tumbling blocks inlay. The central photograph portrays two gentlemen with carved serpent canes, backpacks and top hats. Perfect attire for the sporting gent of the period. Perhaps one of these men was the artist who made the stand. The bottom contains 5 drawers with floral pulls. Found in Atlanta, Georgia.
