An extraordinary tramp art frame profusely embellished with hearts, diamonds and roundels. The interior liner is scalloped with extended points and the open areas are further embellished with tiny squares. A very dynamic inspired object at the pinnacle of tramp art / folk art.
A nearly exact example by the same artist is illustrated in Tramp Art Another Notch, Folk Art from the Heart on page 251 and a frame attributed to the same hand is illustrated on the title page in Tramp Art One Notch at a Time.
